Sicily is perhaps the region with the largest number of olive tree varieties of all the countries kissed by the Mediterranean Sea.

Our extra virgin olive oil is a studied blend of two native varieties: Biancolilla and Nocellara del Belice.

Biancolilla is perhaps one of the most widespread varieties in Sicily. Plant with pendulous habit and low vigor, it has a high productivity even if very fluctuating. The size of the fruit varies according to the year of loading and unloading, the weight is around 3 grams. Almost exclusively used for the production of oil, under the organoleptic aspect it gives fruity, bitter and light spicy sensations, with sensations of almond.

Nocellara del Belice is a variety widespread almost exclusively in the Trapani area, plant of medium vigor and spreading habit, has a good yield and low alternation. The fruit, with an elliptical and asymmetrical shape, can weigh more than 7 grams. It is used to produce table olives and oil. Under the organoleptic aspect it produces oils with a medium-intense fruity, medium-intense bitter and spicy, with sensations of artichoke and tomato.
